@RickAnderson @TransAlta @Meta If the issue is values, then there’s not that much difference. TransAlta’s solar project is a worthy one. Even dealing with Meta is at worst arguable. Enabling OK is at minimum an awful choice. Isn’t there a Corporate Responsibility or Ethics Officer who could have stopped this?

With every barrel of oil that’s imported in the East, Trudeau gets financially rewarded. So there’s no incentive for him to support Cdn oil. Liberal government bought (using taxpayers money) TransAlta for a reason, to shut it down.

@RachelNotley You caused the high prices by shutting down the coal mines....what did you think would happen? Transalta now burns Natural Gas to generate power which affects the Supply & Demand of gas which causes the price to skyrocket causing our hearing bills to skyrocket as well.

So what seems to have happened in the last 2 months is @TransAlta shut down coal to help the environment, and as they did so, @CapitalPower decided to then run their coal at maximum capacity around the clock. I don't understand how it rewards CPX shareholders or the environment??

That wind turbine that fell in NB, the entire facility is down and not sure when will be back on line. Enough power generated for 60,000 homes. Not sure how this will affect Transalta’s plan to purchase more renewable energy. How is this affecting home owners there?
