@steveluscher @PrettierCode @github @withgraphite Phabricator solved this by using a staging repo with tags. Each diff is represented by two tags: base commit and head commit. Diff A can change from main <- A to main <- A’ while Diff B can stay with A <- B. If I don’t have time to rebase B Phabricator won’t have a broken diff B.

@steveluscher @PrettierCode @github @withgraphite When a PR’s base commit has to be a branch, a stack that’s modified in the middle before rebasing can’t be represented. Say we have main <- A <- B. PR A is represented by main <- A. PR B is represented by A <- B. After modifying A to A’, PR B is broken because A is lost.

@steveluscher @PrettierCode @github Using GitHub as code repo and Phabricator for code review is viable, but Phabricator’s support lifecycle came to an end… @withgraphite tries to build on top of GitHub PR, but I think PR is built for GitFlow and is fundamentally broken for trunk based development.

@octolinghacker hmm, if the crashes only started happening recently and you haven't changed anything with your set up, it could be that a recent update introduced the problem. Might be worth going to their github and installing an older version to see if that fixes the problem.
