OMG - I finally found someone at #adobe who seemed very competent. He still couldn't fix some of the issues, but said he will call tomorrow with what he found out.

@AdobeCare So I went to the Adobe help page, checked every possible scenario, made sure I had the latest update of my graphics card driver, changed the scratch disks and restarted everything. The problem persisted. I had to screenshot the images and paste them onto a blank canvas

@AdobeCare Big Sur on a a Mac and the most up-to-date InDesign CC. Having a text box selection issue where pressing “T” to switch to the text tool and then clicking a text box only selects the box and doesn’t place the cursor inside.

This is STILL happening in Illustrator (25.4.1) @AdobeCare ; sometimes when you alter a colour in the "Colour Picker" it comes out as grey instead. A restart of Illustrator is required to resolve this problem. #AdobeIllustrator https://t.co/zLFYI25YSm

@AdobeCare Did that multiple times, but the issue is not resolved. I tried to raise the request using the above link, but no luck there also. It's just surprising to me about the quality of support. This is altogether a different picture than what I know about Adobe and its products.

@AdobeCare Thank you. My employer manages my version, and I can't manually upgrade. It looks like I'm running an older version. It's definitely a problem with all PDFs (I do this for hours a day with lots of different files).

The problem was my timeline box was too TALL. Only had one video and audio track being used. I shrank it down (only showed the 1) and everything worked.
Before everything else was playing as normal but the main timeline box would not scroll.

@AdobeCare I think that's the most frustrating part - it's literally the exact same problem we were discussing over a year ago (though this time with 292 pics that never stop syncing but don't show up in the Syncing filter)
